Meet the Creative Chaos Behind Literary Lily
Meet Lexie
Hi! I’m Alexandra—but literally no one calls me that—so Lexie it is. I’m one half of the chaos (and heart) behind Literary Lily.
Fun fact: I was not a reader growing up. Like… you couldn’t pay me to read. It wasn’t until COVID that I picked up the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi—and suddenly everything changed. Turns out, I didn’t hate reading…I just hadn’t found the right books yet. The right genres, the right tropes, the right amount of drama 😌. And just like that, I was hooked.
Outside of the shop, I’m currently a pediatric medical assistant (for now 👀). The dream is to make Literary Lily my full-time job—but that depends on the love and support from this amazing community (no pressure… but also… a little pressure ❤️).
I’m a huge music person—drop me into music bingo and I will win if it’s anything from 80s pop/hip-hop/R&B to today’s hits (and yes, I know my country too). I also went to cosmetology school once upon a time… turns out it wasn’t my path, but my love for makeup never went anywhere.
I’m a mom to two amazing kids—Audrey (10) and Carter (3)—and I married my biggest supporter, Adam, in 2023. He’s been listening to me talk about opening a bookstore since 2020 and is the reason this idea actually became real. He pushed me way out of my comfort zone—and here we are.

Meet Lindsay
Hi! I’m Lindsay—and I’m the calm to Lexie’s chaos behind Literary Lily.
My husband Brett and I got married in March of 2024, and he’s been just as supportive in this journey as Adam has been for Lexie. Funny enough, our husbands are actually how Lexie and I met—Brett and Adam are best friends, and the four of us quickly became our own little crew.
We bonded fast over hockey (GO BRUINS 🖤💛), and now you’ll usually find us at games together whenever we can. I’m also a huge football fan (GO BRONCOS 🧡💙) and a soccer player, so sports are definitely my thing.
I’m a full-time event florist and the owner of Philibotte’s Florals, and flowers have always been my creative outlet—just maybe not the growing them part. I always joke that I prefer my flowers post-mortem… styled, arranged, and brought to life in a different way. I love creating pieces that make people stop and stare—and yes, I even did the flowers for Lexie’s wedding.
I’ve done retail here and there for special occasions, but I’ve always wanted a space where I could share florals more consistently—and Literary Lily finally makes that possible.
At home, I’ve got Jade, my quiet and dignified cat, and Sandy, my 60-pound pitbull who is absolutely convinced she’s a lap dog.
Also… if you ever need a TV show recommendation, I’m your girl. I don’t miss.
And yes—Lexie got me into reading, and now I can’t stop. So if your TBR pile is out of control, I take partial responsibility.

How Literary Lily Came to Life
What started as friendship—thanks to our husbands—quickly turned into something more. Between hockey games, hanging out, and just doing life, We realized we had this shared love for books and flowers.
At one point, we joked about how perfect it would be to combine the two—books and flowers in one space. It was one of those “this would be so cute” ideas… until it wasn’t a joke anymore.
Somewhere along the way, we stopped laughing about it and started building it.
Now Literary Lily is exactly that—a space where stories and stems come together. A little cozy, a little creative, perfectly balanced between chaos and calm, and built with a whole lot of heart.
We’re so happy you’re here.
